The remark of 'root' that iGala is about to release the environment, made me think of one particular feature which makes good use of iGala's unique touch sensitive keyboard: a service to look up a telephone number in a telephone guide. What we would need is a program that:
- offers a search screen (keyboard + textbox)
- a page to display results

- a setup panel within iGala to choose the telephone guide service

And of course we would need some external WSDL to describe (per service) the way to enter a search and to interprete the feedback from the 'phone guide'. Lastly, we would need a way to display the results in a nice, and most importantly, readable way.

Can something like this be done with the environment of iGala + maybe an external webconfiguration for WSDL and such?

It is possible

By calling existing web services out there, something like this is definitely possible. This will be a good application to do. The release of the application platform may be delayed due to multiple incoming projects. But it is definitely on our plan.
