I have been searching for a specific application/device to be used in my home to keep track of many of my family activities. At the moment we have a shared calendar posted at our refrigerator. The calendar has entries for both me, my wife and the kids for activities in the school, at work and holidays. Also in some cases we need to keep track of the kids homework, special activities in school, etc. The application/device should also be used as an IP Phone and should be used to access my Home control system. (Using MiCasaVerde at the moment, talking LUA). Some days we would like to show cooking recipes in the kitchen or listen to music, maybe se some TV/News.

I have been looking for at simple UI/access panel to be use in more or less all the rooms in the house. The kids can customize their calendar or listen to music, use the IP Phone to call their friends or use it as an intercom in the house, and use the device as an Alarm clock.

My first thought was to look for an advanced Picture Frame with Wifi and touch, exactly like the iGala with Linux and the possibility to customize.

Are any of these thoughts planed for any future version of iGala or would it be possible, for me, to customize iGala to my needs, using the SDK/API.
