Could you post some documentation on what the behavior and limits of the RSS subscriptions are? I'd rather be able to push content to the device and control the display remotely, but perhaps if the RSS poling times are fast enough, then that would work.
Thanks!

Gallery Support?
Gallery (http://gallery.menalto.com/) is a open source web based photo album organizer.
Many people use Gallery as an intuitive way to blend photo management seamlessly into personal websites - it would be nice to be able to point i-Gala to a pre-existing Gallery site.
It is possible to do Gallery 2 Picasa or Gallery 2 Flickr, but there are ownership issues when doing so.
"By submitting, posting or displaying Content on or through Picasa Web Albums, you grant Google a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to reproduce, adapt, distribute and publish such Content through Picasa Web Albums, including RSS or other content feeds offered through Picasa Web Albums, and other Google services."
Flickr has a similar license on their service.
I don't want to give Google or Yahoo! a license to do whatevery they want with my content -- so the answer is run your own website with Gallery.
I beleive RSS feed support would be all that is required.
Thanks

Generic RSS feed support is thru FrameIt
You can feed generic RSS into frameit.live.com and then use iGala to display it. Don't think there are much of limitation except the content needs to be images.
The Frame Channel model coming next year will have similar functionality.
