Adding 'Private' albums from Picasa

Adding 'Private' Picasa albums (or as they call it, 'unlisted') is a real pain. There are 2 reasons for this:

1) When I'm at the Setup > Picasa screen and hit 'Add' it has me enter in my Picasa ID. Okay, no problem. Then it brings me to a screen I assume would show my public albums (I don't have any), but with a new button at the bottom: 'Private'. Okay, I have to use that -- then I'm asked to enter my ID again! I just gave you my ID; it can't remember the ID for 1 screen? Argh!

2) When I upload a new 'private' album, I have to repeat the entire process all over again, plus making sure to re-check any albums I previously had synced. Can't I use one of the existing galleries as a starting point so I don't have to re-enter all my data? Couldn't I click an existing private album already syncing and get an option to show all of the albums for that user? That would be SO much more useful -- or even the option to auto-detect new albums and add them with no intervention on my part.

Thanks for your consideration.

'Shift' key behavior for keyboard

I don't like that the Shift key doesn't turn itself off after you've typed in a letter. I think this is standard behavior (as standard as it can be, I suppose).

If you want to implement Caps Lock, add a dedicated key or switch modes based on how many times the Shift key is pressed in a row (like T9 on a cell phone).

Optimum Image Size for Gmail?

Is there an optimum image size to ensure the images download from the gmail account? I set it all up, and under status, it says, "Downloading." It's been that way for over 24 hours now with no images actually downloaded from the gmail account.

The Flickr account started adding images just now (about 36 hours after set-up).

This is REALLY cool!

PHP/GD/JPEG support

Hey Guys
I've been set a task for work. We're trying to display an ever-changing set of photos throughout various locations on site, on various different devices at a number of different resolutions. All this is on a secured network so I don't have access to the usual photo sharing websites.

All the photos are uploaded stored on one server, and then fed out to the various displays via a web server and RSS feeds.
The images are usually 10Mpx or higher, which while great for physical reproduction, are wholly unnecessary and unusable by digital photo frames. To this end I've adapted a PHP script that resizes the images.

Every web browser, image program, etc... will read the images that have been modified by GD with PHP, apart from every digital photo frame I've tried!
Any ideas whether this one, running a more sophisticated OS will actually be able to read them?
