my frame produces strange 3-seconds noise about every 2 minutes. This is accompanied with rapid blinking of red diode on the back of the unit (it is actually inside, but light leaks through a hole). Sound is somewhat similar to old HDD access -- quiet, trrrrr-r-r-r, like reading head jumping around the disk :-). Sorry -- can't explain better.

- Is it normal/expected?
- What is it? (I have a theory -- it has to do with the fact that at that moment frame download images and writes them to memory). Is there micro-HDD in this frame?

Hi - my frame doesn't seem to want to read off a USB stick. Is tehre any trick to getting it to see the USB?

These forums don't seem to be used very often, I hope things are goign well at iGala, its a great product...

I have copied over several high resolution images (3718x2474) and (2061x3097) to the internal memory on my iGala. However, when displayed, they look pixilated. Is there a standard recommended resolution for horizontal and vertical images?

UPDATE: I have changed most of the pics to a similar resolution as 800x600. I decided to RTFM and found that in there. So I made sure my horizontal pictures were no more than 800, and horizontal were no more than 600. Now they show up pretty crisp and clear. Although once in a while iGala has an issue with rendering a random pic.

Please send an email to support@igala.com with your Mac Address. The Mac Address can be seen on the System status window by tapping on the "!" button on the Slide Show control screen. This issue was caused by the testing on random units in the factory.
